Jane Lomas is a Senior Home Coach™ and real estate professional serving the Atlanta area with a unique blend of compassion, strategy, and practical expertise. She specializes in helping clients navigate important life and housing transitions with clarity and confidence — whether buying a first home, rightsizing for a new stage of life, preparing a longtime family property for sale, or planning for safer, more manageable living in the years ahead.
Jane began her real estate career in Florida in 2012 and later brought her experience to metro Atlanta, where she now serves clients throughout Decatur and the surrounding communities. Known for her calm, thoughtful approach, she believes real estate is about far more than transactions — it’s about helping people move through change with support, dignity, and a plan.
Before entering real estate, Jane spent nearly 20 years as a geologist conducting urban assessments and environmental analyses. That experience sharpened her analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to evaluate complex situations objectively. She also owned a personal training studio, where she developed a coaching-centered philosophy focused on helping people achieve meaningful goals — an approach that still shapes her work today.
Jane’s passion for helping families through major life transitions grew from her own experience assisting her mother through the challenges of aging. She saw firsthand how overwhelming housing, safety, and care decisions can become when planning is delayed until a crisis occurs. That experience inspired her mission to help clients prepare earlier, reduce stress, and preserve choices whenever possible.
Today, Jane works with a wide range of buyers, sellers, families, and referral partners to provide guidance on home transitions, aging in place, decluttering and rightsizing, probate-related situations, moving logistics, and real estate strategy. Her clients value her ability to simplify complex decisions, connect trusted resources, and provide steady guidance during times that can often feel overwhelming.
In addition to her real estate work, Jane is deeply involved in the community. She serves on the City of Decatur Environmental Sustainability Board, helps lead the annual Earth Day event, and is active in organizations focused on aging well, housing, and community education. She regularly hosts educational talks on topics including fall prevention, important documents, scams targeting older adults, planning for future housing needs, and creating safer, more supportive homes for long-term living.
Jane holds multiple professional designations, including Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) and Certified Probate Specialist. She is also an active member of the Atlanta REALTORS Association and the National Association of REALTORS.
When she’s not working with clients, Jane enjoys Atlanta’s spring flowers, visiting the Atlanta Botanical Garden, walking in nature, music, reading, and cooking.
At the heart of Jane’s work is the intersection of home, safety, and planning for the future.
